Ash Reserve

About

Ash Reserve is a community-verified watchdog for online gambling operators, launching with a mystery-box pilot. Same publisher group as casinorankr.com.

Why we exist

Mystery box / case-opening sites sit in a regulatory blind spot. Provably-fair claims vary in quality. Item values are rarely independently verifiable. Withdrawal disputes are common. Existing review coverage is either affiliate-listicles ranked by SEO formula or one-sentence Trustpilot averages.

A defensible alternative needs three things: a published methodology, evidence that people can actually point at, and a public record of every score change. None of that needs an "editor" telling you what to think — it needs a community willing to do the work and a system that ties what they find to a public scorecard.

How Ash Reserve works

  1. The community submits evidence — withdrawal screenshots, payout-time logs, item-value spot checks, license-register lookups, fairness-verification reproductions, complaint clusters from Reddit and Trustpilot.
  2. Moderators verify it — not opinions, just whether the evidence is real, dated, and attributable. Verified contributions go on the public record; rejected ones are logged with a reason.
  3. Verified evidence maps onto the rubric — the six dimensions of the Reserve Score are scored from what's been verified for that operator. Moderators don't pick scores; the rubric does.
  4. Every score change shows up on the changelog — with the evidence that triggered it, timestamped, with the moderator who certified the verification.

Trust without a name on it

Ash Reserve is operated by the same publisher group as casinorankr.com, but the watchdog model is deliberately not personality-led. We don't want you to trust an editor; we want you to be able to trust the evidence and the methodology. Every score on the site is reproducible from public artifacts and verified community contributions. If you disagree with a score, the path is to submit better evidence.

Moderation is handled by a small team that verifies submissions and signs off on score recalculations. Moderators are credited on each changelog entry by handle. They are not the source of authority; the evidence is.
