Help and harm reduction
Responsible gambling resources
Ash Reserve is a watchdog and audit resource, not a gambling operator, treatment provider, legal adviser, or emergency service. If gambling or mystery-box spending is causing harm, stop playing and contact qualified help.
If you need help now
In the United States, the National Problem Gambling Helpline is 1-800-MY-RESET. NCPG says it offers call, text, and chat support 24/7/365 and connects people to local resources across all 50 states and U.S. territories.
The helpline is not designed for emergencies. If you or someone else is in immediate danger or crisis, call 911 or 988 instead.
Why mystery-box and case-opening products need extra caution
Mystery-box sites can blend gambling-like chance mechanics, digital item values, skins, withdrawal friction, KYC checks, jurisdiction limits, and marketing that highlights rare prizes. A published Reserve Score is not an endorsement or safety guarantee. It is a snapshot of verified evidence under our methodology.
- Opening boxes or cases for longer, or spending more, than you planned.
- Chasing losses by buying more cases, spins, upgrades, or account credit.
- Borrowing money, hiding activity, or using funds reserved for bills, rent, food, or family.
- Feeling unable to stop even when the product is no longer fun.
Practical controls before you play
- Set a hard money limit before visiting an operator and stop when it is reached.
- Treat item values and jackpot displays as marketing until you can verify odds, sell-back value, withdrawal terms, and fees.
- Avoid playing when stressed, intoxicated, underage, in debt, or trying to recover previous losses.
- Use operator account limits, cool-offs, self-exclusion, payment blocks, or device-level blocking tools where available.
